Therapy can be very challenging like climbing a mountain, in that there is a set destination at the top but many ways to get there. Each client comes to therapy with unique ideas of how they want to get to the top and what they want to experience along the way. I take time to build a safe, non-judgemental, and trusting environment, getting to know each individuals unique story and how their experiences have shaped their beliefs, behaviours, and view of the world. I bring over 12 years of experience working in the mental health and vocational support sectors to integrate aspects of different evidence-based treatments to best help individuals attain a higher quality of life. By tackling unhealthy beliefs and behaviours that create barriers to growth, healing, and positive relationships with self and others. I have climbed my own mountains in life and experienced things that allow me to hold a great deal of empathy for others suffering and bring hope to those who feel lost. Struggling through abusive relationships, navigating education with ADHD, and the challenges of being a husband and father empower me to hold space for clients trying their best through very hard times.
